Our new 2000 Series HDD swivels are machined from heat treated SAE 4140 High
Strength Alloy Steel billets (145K tensile strength) on state of the art CNC machinery.
Additionally all 2000 Series swivels use multiple (stacked) angular contact bearings
to handle high radial and axial loads, double lip seals to resist contamination and
recessed grease fittings to protect them from breakage. *For optimum service life we
recommend selecting a swivel with a workload rating that is double the pullback rating
of your machine so that the swivel can better tolerate unexpected spikes.
NOTE: Only use calcium sulfonate complex grease with EP additives. Other lubricants will washout and severly reduce swivel service life. Lubrication of the swivel is required before and after each use to purge contaminants that may have entered the swivel while boring.
